In 2010 Birmingham Multi-care was chosen by Sainsbury's Hams Hall Distribution Centre to be their charity of the year

So far we have received a number of donations from Sainsbury's, each of which has been matched by a contribution from CAF, the Charity Aid Foundation - effectively doubling their value.

What has been especially heartening has been some of the more practical ways in which staff at Sainsbury's have become involved in fundraising….

For example

• They arranged a childrens' painting competition for local schools. The winning entries were used to illustrate a calendar which was sold to raise funds for us.

• A team of Sainsbury's staff have planned and are building a raised and adapted garden, so that users of our North Birmingham Respite Care Home can enjoy and work in our garden whatever their disability
