Birmingham Multi-Care is a voluntary organisation which bases
its philosophy of care on treating each person as an individual and
providing for his or her care in a family setting. DUTIES
• To work as a member of the staff team to promote principles of
ordinary living.
• To interact with service users, encouraging independence. • To
assist in the running of the home, including shopping and
cleaning.
• To prepare meals which provide service users with a
well-balanced diet. • To ensure close links with relatives, friends
and other people who are significant in the lives of service
users.
• To help promote links with the local community and support
service users to access local facilities.
• To administer prescribed medication to service users. • To
maintain and complete records used in the home. To bring any
matters relevant to service users' well-being to the manager's
attention at once.
• To be aware of and to implement BMC's policies and procedures
and all statutory requirements.
• To take part in training and to participate in supervision and
appraisals as required. • To maintain the confidentiality of
information and records relating to service users and to staff.
• To maintain safe working practices at all times.
• To carry out all duties with a commitment to equality and in
line with BMC's equal opportunities policy.
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade which the
Co-ordinator may from time to time require.
